Vanda Chaloupkova

Vanda Chaloupkova studied at the Ostrava Conservatory, she gained her first theater experience at the Moravian-Silesian National Theatre, where she acted, for example, under the direction of Jan Mikulášek. She has been engaged in professional dancing since childhood. She played in Irena Pavlásková’s film Fotograf, David Vigner’s films Božena, Abstinent, Občanská naděje a Mezi nimi. Her big success is the role in the American series Haunted for Netflix. In 2022, she filmed the film Láska hory přenáší and Prezidentka, where she starred alongside with one and only, Aňa Geislerová. She also acted in many television series and local and foreign commercials.

Besides TV screens, she’ve become a resident of the acting group of the Theater Na Fidlovačce. She also plays in the Theater Bez Zábradlí, the Musical Theater Karlín and the Theater Komedie in the play Lazarus, which is the last work of David Bowie. She was a guest at the Estates Theater, where she performed as a member of Prague Shakespeare Company in English-language roles e.i. Bianca (Othello) or Perdita (The Winter’s Tale). She is a permanent guest of the Kampa Museum’s Summer Stage, where she performs in the biographies of Meda Mladková and Jan Werich. She wrote and directed the of Long Grown Ups for the Theater X10 (formerly in Strašnické divadlo), which was successfully performed for two seasons. She is also involved in dubbing and radio work, occasionally modeling, dancing, acting for smaller media productions.
